Manager, Smith’s Gardentown
Michael Fiore is a fourth generation nurseryman at Smith’s Gardentown in Wichita Falls, Texas. On any given day, he will be found in the retail store answering customer questions and making sales. He is also the driving force of the landscaping division of the company, which is voted “Texoma’s Best Landscaping Company” for every year they enter. Along with designing landscapes and supervising installation, he has also become one of the faces of the company by creating and starring in digital marketing content such as educational and promotional videos. His knowledge and engaging speaking style have made him a popular speaker for educational seminars and garden clubs within the community.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, Michael made his way to Costa Rica, then Peru, where he met his wife, started a family, and became fluent in Spanish. He worked as a missionary to the poor and needy in the Amazon Rainforest for over four years before returning to Texas to work in his family’s nursery. He now has more than 12 combined years in the nursery industry.
Over the last several years, his gardening prowess has grown along with his family, and he wishes to teach his passion for all things outdoors to his three young children, Jasmine, Leo, and Niko. On any given day, when Michael is not helping customers with their landscaping and gardening needs, you might find him working in his koi pond with his kids or enjoying a round of disc golf.
